OpSight Partners is a specialist turnaround and value creation firm supporting owner-led and PE-backed SMEs. We combine rigorous financial and operational analysis with hands-on delivery, installing the cadence and governance needed to convert plans into measurable cash and EBITDA outcomes. Reuben Makaka (Managing Partner)

Qualifications: Bachelor of Accounting Science (Honours); Chartered Accountant; MBA (Imperial College London); Executive Leadership Programme (Saïd Business School, Oxford)


Reuben is the Managing Partner of OpSight Partners, supporting owner-led and PE-backed SMEs to stabilise liquidity, improve profitability, and accelerate value during periods of disruption, underperformance, or transition. He brings a delivery-led approach that combines rigorous financial and operational analysis with hands-on implementation, helping leadership teams move quickly from diagnosis to decisive action and measurable outcomes.


His experience spans operational restructuring, financial recovery, and performance improvement programmes across multiple sectors and geographies. He is known for bringing clarity under pressure: translating complex data into practical priorities, establishing tight governance and performance cadence, and tracking benefits through to realised cash and EBITDA impact.


Reuben is UK-based and serves client's globally. He has a particular interest in healthcare services, light manufacturing, resources and operations-heavy businesses where performance can be moved quickly through stronger cash discipline, working capital control, and operational execution.


Reuben started his career at Deloitte where he served his articles. He subsequently worked for Ernst & Young advisory services and PwC UK where he was part of the Deal Value Creation & Realisation team. He has experience working in Europe, USA and Africa.
